mark2Nov.8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) People of the United States might get a different view of President Obama’s family in Kenya, after reading the new book written by his brother Mark Okoth Obama Ndesandjo. In his semi-autobiographical account titled, “Nairobi to Shenzen”, the half-brother of President Obama has given insight to his life from childhood to the present days. This is for the first time that Mark Obama has discussed his upbringing and family life in Kenya.

While attending a press conference in Beijing, talking about his new book, Mark Obama narrated the days when they had to suffer domestic violence at the hand of his father, Barack Obama Sr. This declaration of Mark Obama has created a sensation, as people did not have much idea about the family life of the Obamas. In the press conference, Mark Obama said, “I could not remember any good things about my father. My skin had turned hard emotionally for so many years.”

Mark Obama Ndesandjo, the son of Ruth Nidesand, the third wife of Barack Obama Sr. has made some statements, from which one can clearly make it that he had to suffer severe and frequent tortures in his childhood- before they migrated to US. President Obama had spent his childhood without his father and so he could write little information about his father in the book, named, “Dreams of My Father”. He had written, ” I knew that he was a drunk and showed no concern for his wife and children. That was enough.” The book by his brother gives more details on the issue in comparison.
