03142010terrible_mistake-220New York, Mar 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) H.P. Albarelli in his new book ‘A Terrible Mistake: The Murder of Frank Olson and the CIA’s Secret Cold War Experiments’ adds flare to the discussion of CIA and their efforts of mind control during the era of Cold War. The book lay emphasis that there is a strong evidence that the CIA sprayed lsd in the New York subway to control the commuters. The so called LSD tests which were being performed way back in 1950 is also cited out with a striking evidence in FBI report that the book talks about. It speaks of Dr. Henry Eigelsbach, a ex CIA research scientist who mentions that the Lsd subway tests have been performed but nobody is sure about its results. The book is a criticizing comment on CIA and its notorious attempt to try their experiments upon the innocent bunch of citizens down the subway.

The fact gains momentum with the very fact that the time of the experiment clashes with a pretty similar incident that generated mass hysteria in a French town where people were witnessed to be the victim of lsd poisoning and responded to its aftermath of hallucinations and delusions, which also drove some of them to death.

It is being said that the man behind the notorious mission of CIA was Frank Olsen, whose suicide is said to have been under the impact of Lsd poisoning itself. In Dr. Henry Eigelsbach’s words, there was one more test that was performed in the very same manner to test the durability of the drug and to check the resistance power of individuals. The CIA however was enough smart to burn and destroy any and all such documents concerning the case.

Isn’t Democracy great. Any pin head can say just about anything he?she wants and pretty much nothing will ever happen. How many people have given their lives so some 3rd rate wordsmith can trash them. Many things that weren’t on the up and up. Why don’t you go to
the former USSR or North Korea or Communist China or any number of rat hole countries and do the same as you did here. Gee, that would be like sticking your head into the lions mouth. Why don’t you go get a job flippin burgers.

What does it matter what other people do? We, the CIA and others, are the villians. Jack, I wonder how you would’ve reacted to being “dosed” with LSD and not know about it? This happened to me at a party 40 years ago and it put my life in termoil for weeks. I didn’t even know what was going on. And what is your point about “getting a job flipping burgers”? You have no point except on top of your head. Have a nice day…flipping burgers.

  3. Ryan Says:

Sorry to tell you Jack, democracy has failed. You now live in the Incorporated States of America. The CIA is one of the most satanic organizations to ever exist. The CIA has sold more cocaine in this country than anyone. Not only did they destroy peoples minds with LSD trying to uncover mind control techniques and attempting to create super soldiers. They also sold crack cocaine to fund the contras in Sounth America. This was done because funds for the support of militant groups in South America had been withdrawn by Congress so the CIA allowed the Contras to engage in the drug trade in the United States in order to make money to fund their military operations. The CIA was forced to publish the information by the Congressional Committee when they were found of wrongdoing. You can find the official CIA version of the story here:

    My dog did 911.

  5. GORDON LIDDY Says:

Well lets see here. I recall that foggy ride to Coney Island back in the 50,s. I was on the subway and suddenly my vision became distorted from all the laughing individuals aboard. I couldn,t help but join in from all the laughter. We were all in a transformed state of mind. Now 50 years later, I am learning why…

  6. independant thinker Says:

There have also been secret experiments by the military on the American public.
What disturbs me most is the fact that many want to give the government more control over our lives when it has been proven that the government cannot be trusted as proven by events like this.

  7. independant thinker Says:

One other thought. The only thing new here is the possibility of this being done on the subway system. It has been known for years that the CIA has done LSD experiments on unsuspecting individuals.

  8. John,Sartell,MN,USA Says:

This practice of testing chemical and radioactive wheapons on unsuspecting civilians is the result of the NAZI scientists we took in during ‘OPPERATION PAPERCLIP’ after WWII. The Russian double agent Harold ‘Kim’ Philby suggested the idea to Washington, and they ran with it. The Russians had the SS and Gestapo files on these people and blackmailed them to doing Russia’s bidding, using American money and facilities to do ‘experiments’ that blackened America’s reputation world wide, and gave the Russians free research.
Had there been an ethics reviewer who suggested that rather than give Frenchmen bread tainted with LSD, we might more ethically add it to the food at the General’s Pentagon Mess or the Congressional Cafeteria, the plan might have been totally rejected.
Such ill concieved experiments are nothing new. I knew a man who, as a Navy Recruit at Crater Lake, Idaho, was amoung a barracks full of men who were given the anti Malaria drug Chloroquin in a test. As a result ALL developed potentially fatal high blood pressure and were discharged. Luckily his doctor and his VA doctor called Crater Lake and found the antidote. He went on to become a constable, scoutmaster, sheriff and member of our HAM radio club.
Question: Why were healthy sailors (in short supply) put at risk of life and limb when we could have tested it on one eyed, one armed and one legged 4-F volenteers?

  9. Malcolm Labens Says:

C’mon Jack. You can do better. Can’t you find some way to blame this on President Obama???

  10. juice jones Says:

i believe they tested lsd on cincinnati metro, too. atleast i thought i was seeing things.

  11. earl lambert Says:

I had an uncle that was experimented on in Denver at fitzsimmons army hopital during that same timeframe. It made him go insane and was never able to care for himself after that. He lived another 48 yrs that way

  12. randy bauer Says:

Yes, trust the Government. They are doing it for your own good. But some of those “things” you see in the subway are real. Honest.

  13. scooby Says:

where can i sign up for these tests? you can test the effects of psychadelics on me all day long! just don’t be suprised if the result is a direct connection to the gods and a few 6th sense inhancements.

  14. Tigerlily Says:

Gennie Pilarski. Google her…this crap has been going on for years..

  15. Richard Owl Mirror Says:

Conducting experiments on unsuspecting citizens is clearly wrong. When I was a young man, I took part in a CIA sponsored LSD experiment.
I was filmed while being asked a battery of questions. I had prior experience with LSD but, I must say that trip was the purest, cleanest trip I ever experienced.
I was never contacted after that night and I’ve often wondered what, if anything they learned from the interview.
I still do not feel clandestine experiments on citizens is a wise action for the government.

  16. jack Says:

Malcolm, never said anything about Lord Barry the Magnificent. Do you have a complex or do you suffer from low self esteem. O’Bama was just a little nipper when these tests were going on. ya’all have a nice day now.

  17. Gee Says:

Why didn’t they just do this at the ‘narcotics farm’ in Lexington Ky? They could have experimented with this in a controlled environment and still didn’t have to tell people what it was.

  18. Common Says:

Does the poor grammar and sentence construction in this article indicate that it was written by a non-citizen? I am skeptical of the legitimacy of the research when the article contains such basic grammatical problems.

  19. D Bag Says:

Was Babe Ruth on that subway? Lets put an * by his name in the hall of fame!

  20. Jack Saunders Says:

That explains everything. I love riding the NY Subway. Are you sure the experiments over? This being one of the better ideas from the CIA, we should look for funding.

  21. Jason Pennington Says:

Everyone is acting like this is the only source of information on this subject. Just shows how nieve society has become, when no one even takes time to verify information. I agree with Common Sense, the grammar is very poor, including how the wording is backwards in someparts. Thats standard for European countries not America. Everyone needs to use their brains and at least try to verify the source. Whether they did or did not do this is kinda mute point now that was 60 years ago. No one could release an aresol in subway now-a-days with out someone screamming terriost. So wise up people different era different mind set.

  22. earthboy45 Says:

the person writing this story is also experimenting with LSD.

  23. Erin Says:

It doesn’t surprise me at all that certain government entities have a complete lack of ethics and might possibly be sociopaths wearing white coats. All you need to do is look at waterboarding while trained and licensed psychologists looked on without a shred of remorse for torturing human beings.
