andrews-bookDec.10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The world economy went through one of its most pathetic phases last year when the Wall Street banks collapsed and this led to a worldwide recession and unprecedented job layoffs in various organizations. Recently, Andrew Ross Sorkin, a senior columnist and editor working in the NY Times has published a book named ‘Too Big To Fail‘, that deals with the sordid truth that shook the lives of millions of people.

It is a searing account of the struggle meant for rescuing the plunging US economy. The book blends the charm of captivating story-telling and in depth reporting. Andrew Ross Sorkin’s rapport with Wall Street bigwigs and US govt officials make this account very much credible and authentic.

While the economy of USA is again showing signs of revival and the job market has got a new lease of life, people should not forget the reasons why things took such a worse turn last year. However, Andrew Ross Sorkin wants his book to remind others about the financial downfall and its inner truths. It is quite spine chilling to read the book, that takes the readers to hitherto unexplored corridors of US Financial and political system, that worked hand in hand to thwart the crisis.

In the book, events unfurl at a rapid speed and the readers get hardly any time to stop and think about one particular incident. While the ending shows taxpayers money was used to revive the ailing banks and financial entities, Andrew Ross Sorkin argues there was no other way out for the US government. Reportedly, he had to do a number of interviews and tedious research before he started writing this book.
