India-Thai Chamber of Commerce (ITCC) in association with India Thai Business Forum (ITBF), Indian Women’s Club (IWC) & India Thai Diamond & Colour Stone Association (ITDCA) have arranged an evening talk by the XLRI alumna trainer consultant. The topic of the talk is: “To burp or not to burp! What does the world say? ”

Renu is an English (Hons.) from Delhi University, and a Post Graduate from XLRI, Jamshedpur. She taught post-graduate management students at XLRI for nearly 16 years. Renu started her own consultancy in 1992. Executives from over 600 companies in India and abroad have attended Renu’s in-house and public training programmes, and those conducted through business federations, such as DMA and CII. Her niche areas are Global Business Etiquette, and Presentation and Communication Skills.
She has written over 350 articles, and been published abroad and in India. She is a column contributor on `Business Etiquette’ to India’s premier HR journal, `Human Capital’. Renu has been invited to read papers at various international seminars in India and abroad. Her book on personal effectiveness is in the final stages.
Her programs are focused at helping Indians, who interact with important foreign and local customers; create the right impression internationally, by developing, packaging and projecting a self-confident, global personality. Mattoo says knowing about the culture you are dealing with ensures that extraneous factors do not negatively affect the outcome of a business negotiation.
