Indian HockeyIndia defeated South Korea 7-2, winning the 7th Asia Cup men's hockey tournament in Chennai Sunday night.

In the victory which is being hailed as one of the side-effects of "Chak De India",the Indian players displayed better performance than the Doha Asian Games champion South Korea in the final. Before the semi- final, India also defeated South Korea 3-2 in the heated match in Pool A.

It is to be noted that Indian Hockey team won all the matches they played in the tournament. The man credited with the revival of the Indian Hockey team- the coach Joaquim Carvalho - said after the match “I assure you I will not rest on my laurels. My goal is now to guide India in qualifying for the 2008 Olympics.” India's match record in the tournament was filled with goals - India scored 57 goals in the tournament, and conceded only 5.

With the winning team showing the confidence and giving the results we sure can hope for witnessing the good old times. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
