Hema MaliniIt's official now. Hema Malini and her daughter Ahana Deol will be present for the up coming Bangkok International Film Festival 2007.

“The 2007 film festival is a Tribute to Smt. Hema Malini with showing five of her movies in the festival” said Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, Chief Officer of the BIFF 2007, who will be overseeing the festival this year.

Hema Malini and Ahana Deol will reach Bangkok on 18th July and will be attending the festival in their 3 days program, while they make the return on 21st. Apart from the three Indian movies competing in the festival, five Hema Malini’s movies are SHOLAY, LAL PATHAR, DILLAGI, KHUSHBOO and BAGHBAN. The other three Indian movies are Omkara, Rang De Basanthi and Vanaja.
The dates for the Bangkok International Film Festival are 19th to the 29th July 2007. There will be workshops and, as in all the great film conventions, a good deal of buying and selling. This is the place where a filmmaker can be catapulted to fame, or left wondering why his epic did not catch the eye of the distributors.

In this aspect, the Bangkok Film Market will be held in one of Asia’s finest shopping locations, The Siam Paragon, whilst the featured films will be shown in 8 swanky theatres of the plush SF World Cinema at CentralWorld Shopping Centre. The Opening and Closing films would be held in the new 800-seat auditorium of the SF cinema complex at Central World. The theatres are situated on the 7th, 8th and 9th floors of the Central World, with an area of 13,500 sq.m, the theatres comprise 15 screens with over 4,000 seats.
