Aol LogoAs the parable goes, after creating human beings, God was very much in trouble because every human being would go on asking for favors, day in and day out. Other creatures would not ask Him for so many favors, as they were thankful for their existence and for the bounteous earth, and did not bother God.

Therefore, God called a meeting of His high level ministerial group. All ministers, old and young, were present. The agenda was that God was fed up with the frequent demands by men and women (and especially children!) and wanted to find a place where he could actually hide Himself.

One young minister suggested that the Mount Everest was the best place, but God ruled that out. Very soon he said two men called Hilary and Tenzing would get there. Another minister suggested the moon as the ideal place, but that too was ruled out, for , said God, with a weary air, very soon a human called Neil Armstrong would land there.

Finally , a very old and experienced minister with a long beard went up boldly to God and whispered something in His ear. This brightened up God's face and he said delightedly: " Now that's what I call a clever plan! I accept your suggestion and shall reward you handsomely for it!" Naturally everybody present was eager to know what the old minister had suggested.

God waited for the clamor to die down and revealed:
"As per this wise minister's suggestion, I shall hide myself in the heart of all human beings. I am very sure they will not be able to find me easily, unless they overcome their ignorance, desires,
ambitions and their greed."

And that's how it has been ever since. God lies in peace in each of our hearts , but do we think of finding Him within ourselves? Instead, we run about, looking for Him in temples, churches, mosques, wherever , but not where He actually is……!

Yes, until a month back I thought Himalayas is the place God would like to dwell [not to hide] but unfortunately as we hound him unnecessarily he has decided to dwell right in us so that only who can feel him can know him.

Jai Gurudev,
Its a very touche story... We wasted our previous births and this one was also going in vain till we found HIM... he unfolded the path to self realization, the path to being a witness, the path which takes us to devotion and samadhi...
Love You...
Ruchi.
