Lets have more meet-ups - 2007/07/13 19:05
Has been a long time since we met...Why not rub shoulders with people who share common interests and have intellectual interactions with our fellow thaindians! Networking is the buzzword in today's world - why not utilize this opportunity and see how can we expand our horizons. If you would like to meet new people or have a talk or discussions, announce the details of the meet up on the forums and let others respond to it. It may be just few persons’ chit-chatting over a cup of coffee! You post this on forums and rest assured, we will give it prominence and see to it people become aware of it. We will put it in newsletters and also put a link on the home page. We will act as a facilitator and communicator. A few ideas to begin with...
- Specify an interesting topic which you yourself are passionate about and ask like minded individual to join you for sharing or discussion. You may also say that you want to meet people only for chit-chat and networking.
- Also specify tentative date, time and venue. Indicate that it is flexible.
- Fix a number of people who can attend it (If more than 20-25 people turn up it becomes chaotic and you won't be able to know others better)
- Clarify if the tea and snacks / eatables etc. are to be paid individually or you will sponsor them.
- Put the time frame - like 2 hours etc.
Kindly note the following:
- More than one event can also be organized at any given time since different people would be taking the initiative.
- The meet up has to strictly be non-commercial in nature.
- You would be responsible for everything related to the meet up. We are confident that you’ll get supporters if the cause is noble.
- Although this is an effort to help increase networking amongst its members, Thaindian.com does NOT take any responsibility of any kind. Although we will try to extend our support, we are not bound by any means to do it.
- The organizers, attendees and event are responsible for their own ideas, views, opinions, behavior and Thaindian.com does not take the responsibility of any mishap /damage whatsoever.
- Thaindian.com reserves the right to scrap the meet up notifications at any point of time if it deems them inappropriate without offering any explanations.
