Rajni makes Sivaji rock in Bangkok! Print E-mail

July 02, 2007

Koooool....

SIVAJI Thatz what we can simply say after seeing the crowd in the SFX Cine Complex - Theater 15 in these 2 days. Not only Tamilians, but also a lot of north Indians, Thai, Japanese, and surprisingly some Europeans.

Sivaji...Super Star Rajini's latest mega super hit movie got released here on 30th June and 1st July. The 700 seater SFX 15 cinema never got these much audience before, the theater people say.

On the first day the show was HOUSE FULL. Even about 30 to 40 tickets were over booked and they've got seats on the walk way in the middle which brings us the good olden our mother country theater memories.

Sivaji Movie in Bangkok The crowd, the sound, the music, whistling, screaming, etc..etc.. are all new to the Thais. They're already familiar with 007, Jackie, even the Tom Yum Goong hero... But they never seen these kind of experience in Bangkok same like Sivaji. So Rajinikanth has not only broken south and north india divide. But also the world boundaries.

This is the 3rd Tamil Movie ever screened in Thailand. The first one was Jeans (Directed by Mr. Shankar - the same director of 'Sivaji'). The second one was 'Kandukondaen Kandukondaen'. And this 'Sivaji' is the 3rd one. But those 2 movies were screend in small theatres and only one show. But 'Sivaji' screened in big seating capacity theater and 2 shows and almost both the shows were heavily crowded.

On the 2nd day I've seen a lot of repeated fans (including me ;)
