A word from Sonia…Bangkok Bollywood is a way for me to bring to you what I spend most of my days indulging in and that is- Fabulous Bollywood Music! As we all know, Bollywood has come a long way and it has finally attained the recognition it deserves in the international community (I would say, just about hitting the benchmark of Bikram Yoga and Deepak Chopra)! Bollywood music is blaring in restaurants, planes, bars, cafes and even bookstores (believe it or not) all around the world! People are taking Bollywood dance classes and are tuning into Bollywood gossip!
To me, it truly is a revelation!I myself was brought up listening to the
“Top 10 Bollywood Chartbusters” whilst being fed Basmati Rice and Yellow Daal! So to me, this show is, in the true sense of the term- close to home.
The Indian culture is rich and beautiful and it has certainly held its stature here in Bangkok. For those of you who live here and for those of you wanting to visit this great city, I use this show as a way to bring to light the wonderful Indian lifestyle here in the City of Angels. From great North Indian dining to the most exciting Indian Cultural Events to partake in- Bangkok really has it all!
So, get ready for an hour of sheer entertainment every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night as I bring to you music that rings in the hearts of millions!
Salaam, Namaste and Sawadee Kha!Bangkok Bollywood is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 9pm BKK Time. For more information about the show, visit the website at www.radiobangkok.net/show/bangkokbollywood!
