It was a spectacular evening when more that 50 of us joined together at Planet Bollywood Restaurant and had our share of fun and frolic.

People had starting coming from 3 PM itself and by 3:30 PM  a large number had gathered. The term breaking the ice seemed to have suddenly lost its meaning as the people were interacting with each other comfortably.

Mr. KIA Shafi - a renowned hindustani vocalist - gave the people a feel of Bolllywood and initiated a few rounds of "Antakshari" as people were settling down and more people were coming in.

Around 4 PM, the attendees were asked to organize themselves into groups and were asked to introduce themselves in the most interesting way possible. They were given just 5 minutes to plan what they'd do and you got to see it to believe what they came up with. There were songs, dance, jokes, skits and what have you.

A break for snacks was followed by "Tambola" as the day was nearing its end. The icing on the cake were the 10 lucky draw prizes, thanks to our sponsors. These prizes included 5 gift vouchers from Homeland News worth THB 200 each, 2 pair of DVDs and a pair of tickets (for Kabul Express 8 PM show ) from Goodwill Traders and 2 gift vouchers from Jogani entertainment worth THB 500 each.

As the clock struck six - like all good things- the wonderful evening came to an end.

As with all meetups, this is a work in progress and when the cause is noble, people from different quarters join in to give the support. The platform belongs to all of us and we urge for more participation from the community. We will keep trying different approaches and see what is the best fit.
