Indus adjudged the best Indian Restaurant for 2006 |

February 21, 2007 Indus made a history of sorts by grabbing the award for "Best Indian Restaurant in Thailand" at the Annual Bangkok Dining & Entertainment Awards 2006 event held at the Shangri La hotel.
 The Bangkok Dining & Entertainment Awards 2006 is organized annually by the Bangkok Dining & Entertainment Guide magazine. This was the 13th annual ceremony. This is considered the most important awards function for restaurants and hotels in Bangkok. There are different categories such as Best Restaurant (by cuisine), Best Buffet, Best Service, Best Design, Best Bar, Best Beverages etc.
In the Indian cuisine category there were three nominees Indus, Indian Hut, and Hazarra. While Indus won the prize, Indian Hut and Hazara were adjudged runner-ups.In the past Rangmahal has usually won the awards but this year it was not among the top three nominees.
The nominations are done through survey ballots that are available in copies of the Bangkok Dining & Entertainment Guide, which is available in all book stores, cafes, restaurants, bars, embassies, hotels, travel agents etc. It is collected and compiled by a third party company and records can be requested from the publishers.
